This storm was an extended event that started around 4 PM CDT April 17 and continued into the afternoon on April 19. The vast majority of snow accumulation occurred in 12 hours from 2 PM CDT April 18 to 2 AM CDT April 19. Snow frequently accumulated around 1 inch per hour.
